lion's mane for better brains!
We like to think of lion’s mane as a strong support for good brain health and cognitive function. In the modern way of living, our brains must be in a better shape than ever, as an enormous amount of information floods in every day and most of the work we do happens mentally and not physically, as it once was.
Our own personal experience is that it provides more clarity and calmness. It can vary from person to person.
Lions’ mane has been put to the test regarding cognitive improvement in randomized double-blind placebo-controlled clinical studies. The studies suggest both significant (1) and mild (2) improvements over 12-16 weeks, increasingly over time.
Consuming lion’s mane can support the brain neural network (compounds behinds this are nerve growth factor and brain-derived neurotrophic factor) and improve the cognitive function of the brain. Improvement was measured using MMSE, Benton visual retention test and S-PA test.
